Code of Conduct

Sports camps should offer a positive experience for young people where they can learn new things in a safe and positive environment. As an attendee of The Trillium Curling Camp you are expected to abide by the following:

Code of conduct:
1. Be loyal and give your friends a second chance
2. Be friendly & supportive to all attendees, offer help if needed
3. Keep yourself safe
4. Report inappropriate behavior or risky situations to a member of camp staff
5. Play fairly and be trustworthy
6. Respect the rules and by-laws of the camp
7. Respect the rules of our hosts facilities used during the camp.
8. Respect camp staff and accept decisions
9. Behave and listen to all instructions from the coach & managers
10. Take care of equipment owned or provided by the camp and its partners
11. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender,               ability, race, cultural   background or religious beliefs or sexual identity
12. Refrain from the use of bad language or racial/sectarian references
13. Refrain from: bullying / getting involved in inappropriate peer pressure / pushing others into something they do not want to do
14. Do not go into other campers bedrooms
15. Keep to agreed timings for all camp activities, or inform a member of the camp’s staff           if you are going to be late
16. Wear suitable kit
17. Do not smoke, consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on camp premises

You have the right to:
1. Be safe and happy while at the Trillium Camp
2. Be listened to
3. Be respected and treated fairly
4. Privacy
5. Enjoy the camp activities in a protective environment
6. Be referred to professional help if needed
7. Be protected from abuse by other attendees or outside sources
8. Participate on an equal basis, appropriate to your ability
9. Be believed
10. Ask for help

Any misbehavior or breaches of the Camp codes of conduct will be addressed by the immediate member of staff and reported to the designated person. Persistent misbehavior or a single significant act will result in dismissal from The Curling camp.

The Matt Murdoch Curling Foundation is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all attendees, and believes that it is important that all individuals should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, attendees are encouraged to be open at all times and to share concerns that they may have about any aspect of the camp with the Camp Co-ordinator.
